coffees and teas, the one especially meant for you.
Opposite the birthplace of the humanist poet
Agnolo Ambrogini (known as "Il Poliziano") is
the shop where the products of the Valdipiatta
Estate – Vino Nobile di Montepulciano,
Riserva, Vino Rosso and Bianco, Extra Virgin Olive Oil,
Grappa – can be sampled and are sold. Also available
are about thirty kinds of tea, among which are Betjeman and Barton's famous teas,
and a varied and superior selection of Jamaica coffee
which can be tasted a few hundred metres away in the
elegant Caffè
Poliziano. Gift
articles, tableware, items of handicraft are sold, above
all glasses and various accessories for tasting and
conserving wine: wine glasses, decanters, corkscrews,
tastevin.
The
recently opened premises are an excellent example of
today’s local tendency towards the restoration of
historical buildings in the old town centre.
Renovated with taste and style, the shop is attractive
and inviting for residents and visitors alike.
The flavours and aromas of the wine and oil, the tea and
coffee harmonise with the elegant setting in an old-time
atmosphere of authentic tradition.
