"La Valiana" is an elegant farmhouse, situated in the very heart of a naturalistic context, rich in history and colours, steeped on the ridge of a stunning view, where the eyes sweep from Montepulciano, the town of Renaissance, to Cortona, as far as the secular outline of Lake Trasimeno.
And suddenly, behind the bend, a secret view opens out before your eyes : the Tuscany on the left, with its soft green hills, and Umbria on the right, with a blue stroke of the brush... it’s Trasimeno Lake.
Just here, an elegant mansion-house rises, with its face of yellow and terracotta colours, which are shined by the morning sun-light that rises upon the lake; and with its brick-turret, warm and stately by the tender light of sunset.
And then, you can sight the entrance path, dotted with cypresses; the gravel staircases, lined by roses and wild box hedges; the white travertine of the main portal; and throughout all the mansion the French windows, embroidered by wrought iron, open wide into the vineyard and the garden, intercalated by vases of roses, of lemons, of bouganvilles; and the trees of plums, of apples, of kaki and figs… and these scents that flood in the house.In the “Torretta”, under the intricate game of roof-trees, the terraces and the large arched picture windows, lean out into a wide view of gentle green hills, strewn with cypresses and remote farmhouses, with orderly vineyards and little olive-hedges.

The exclusive and reserved villa, made pleasant by the owner’s warm hospitality, is composed by a limited number of suites, perfect for families a small groups of 6 people, and by a large salon with fire place, ideal for cheerful banquets, or to stay in front of a cosy fire in the colder nights.
The suites, each one different from the others, are all enjoyed by the reservedness featuring of a private entrance, an inside little sitting-room, an en-suite bathroom, with hydro-massage shower or bath and a private access to the garden. The "Torretta" on the top floor, is a suite of great atmosphere, with a spacious panoramic living-room and two sunny terraces, perfect for tasting a glass of good wine overlooking the quiet running after each other of tender hills at the sunset light.
The panoramic swimming pool steeped between the green of hillside vineyards and the silver the olive-trees, is thought to cuddle each other in the hydro-massage corner, or to relax yourself in the shadow of a spacious gazebo, tasting our olive oil, the produce of our vegetable garden and of fruit-trees, which are at guests’ disposal.
